Praise Stories
The history, heritage and traditions of Africa have been passed down through the generations by the telling of stories. Gogo (grandma) would gather her children around the cook fire and push a big log into the flames. She would then begin to tell her story. As the log burned, Gogo would push it further into the center of the fire, continuing to weave her tale until the log was completely burned. Only then could the story stop and only then would the children go to bed. Today we continue to tell the story of Africa. Some stories are sad while others are full of joy.
